  Good service, nice range of beers. Arrived just too late for the St. George's day bbq, but looked so good we've booked to go back for dinner.
  
  Having just had Sunday lunch at The George, I'm delighted to say the food was as good as we'd expected. Nice small Sunday lunch menu, all cooked on site, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our three courses.
  
  Also lovely to see that the landlord actually reads the reviews here, and remembered our names and popped over for a chat. Looking forward to our next visit.

  The food was pricey and the menu was very limited and certainly not worth the money .The food was warm and after complaining still came back slightly warmer.

  Awesome!!! Burn's night was my introductory evening at the George but it was such a fantastic evening that I cant wait for the next themed event so that I have an excuse to go back and visit this wonderful area. Lovely country pub and bistro/chic hotel with welcoming hosts, Carole and Chris, even their pet dog, Crunchie is welcoming and adorable!!! Lovely staff, great atmosphere, tastefully refurbished oh and I nearly forgot the menu for Burns night was AWESOME!!! I would not hesitate in recommending this delightful village pub to anyone looking to eat and/or stay in this lovely part of the UK. Great base for shopping, walking, cycling, sight-seeing .... the list is endless .....

  Good choice for non drinkers. There looked a good choice for drinkers too. We've booked a table for food as the menu looked fabulous.
